What I'll be doing in Costa Rica!

With the change of country, I'd like to update you guys about what I will be doing in Costa Rica. There are two ministries I will be working with while I live in Costa Rica. One is called "Un Corazon Samaritano" which means "A Samaritan's Heart." This ministry is a part of Viva Abundante Church in Coronado. This local ministry works in under resourced areas of Costa Rica, mostly in a neighborhood called Las Cuadras de Guadalupe. This area is outside of San Jose and has great physical and spiritual needs. I will be teaching English in order for neighborhood residents to get jobs in tourism. There are also mechanics classes taught for community development. I will work with children, doing VBS type studies, tutoring, and helping with breakfast programs as well. We also will go visit the Red Light district and hand out food to people living in the street. Along with this church ministry, I will contribute my time to Red Viva, a similar ministry, working with at-risk youth in the area. It's going to be AMAZING!
