lots that's been happening...

First of all, let it be known that I survived my first earthquake the other day!!! Well, the locals would call it a "tremor" but I beg to differ. It was the most terrifying 2 seconds of my life...I thought we were sure to be the next Chile or Haiti but nope!

Things have been pretty interesting around here...there's always something new. This week, while working with the people in the Red Light District, I spotted a group of about 4 or 5 "gringo" or Northamericans walking around!!!!! I yelled over to them, telling them they really shouldn't be walking around that area of town at night. NOTE TO ALL TRAVELERS: When "discovering" a new and dangerous area of another country, don't care your TOUR GUIDE BOOK in your hand...this people might as well have been screaming PLEASE rob me! I like to think of my informing them as my good deed for that day..haha

Today, we had some fun and went to the dog festival. The festival was for mutts and we say quit a few varieties...

anyway, this next picture is me and Yerlin...I'm trying to get to know her better. She's my favorite little girl in the precario..don't tell the other kids. God doesn't have favorites...but I do!
