Then, we were off to Birmingham Alabama to learn a little about history and see friends. It was great to reconnect with supporters, spend great time with amazing friends, and see Birmingham.
We saw some of Birmingham's hot spots like Sloths Fernace
Then, we were off to Guntersville, AL to hang out with Jeanne Cross and family. They surprised us with a Welcome Home cake and lots of love! We were even able to go see a cave. We felt so special and appreciated in their home.
Then, it was time to spend with friends in Birmingham. In each place, we tried to support raise with some contacts we had made while also reconnecting with other priceless friends. It was great to see friends from Samford and show Chino around.
God provided meetings with potential supporters in each place not to mention transportation, a place to stay, and food. We felt so loved by all our family and friends making sure we felt welcomed and loved.
Next, we were off to Memphis. I had never been to Memphis so it was a new experience for me and Chino. We got to spend some time reconnecting with friends as they encouraged us in our ministry. We were so impressed by the warm welcome we received in Memphis and the support people showed.
Next, we headed to St. Louis, MO to speak at a local college ministry, reconnect with supporters, and enjoy amazing friends, not to mention an incredible city. I miss these guys!!!!!!
Next, we flew back to Florida to spend a little time with family and enjoy Easter with my immediate family and precious nephews. We dyed eggs and Easter bunny came and brought lots of surprises.
We even had the opportunity to go to a Florida State football game. It was really neat to share a little piece of North American, Southern culture with Chino.
Last but not least, my Aunt and I made a cake and I decorated it for Chino's birthday. I've always wanted to learn how to decorate cakes so my Aunt gave me some lessons. Not bad for my first cake:)
