studying forgiveness

The last couple of weeks, we've been studying about forgiveness in the Isla with the ladies of our Bible Study. It's not a sort of self-help study, but the importance of forgiveness for the movement Christ started and especially the essential part if we want to be active in this revolution He started. As always, it has been something I am learning from my time studying the life of Christ, but God also knew the spiritual climate in the Isla and exactly what the ladies need at this specific time.

A few months back, there was an incident between two ladies in our Bible Study. Patricia sent her son and a friend into her neighbor's (Graciela) house to borrow something. Somehow during this brief moment in the house, $50 was stolen from the home. Graciela blamed Patricia's son and thus began the war between these two neighbors/family members. (It ended up being the friend who stole the money.) It has been such a hot topic for our Bible Study because somehow the whole neighborhood has become involved and it has caused disunity and hate in our Bible Study. Patricia won't come to Bible Study if Graciela is there and likewise with Graciela. We've talked to both of them about the issue with no avail. But FINALLY, this week, while studying forgiveness, I could see a change in Patricia. God has touched her heart and my hope is that BOTH will be at Bible Study this week and the war will be over! God's word is truth and is powerful to work through even the most difficult situation.
