1.) Little girls love to braid hair-they may look harmless enough, but they have strong little hands when they want to...my head has witnessed their strength! The little girl in the pink was telling me about how her dad got kicked out of the house because he stole from her sister...i'm sure her mom wanted me to know that! life in the precario is tough...we got news today that yet ANOTHER set of brothers and sisters left to go back to Nicaragua. Their mom sent them; she remains in Costa Rica. A ton of the kids and families we work with are Nicaraguans, seeking refuge in Costa Rica and a better life for their kids; not all of them make it though...
2.) In Costa Rica, Christmas starts in September. Yes, this is a CHRISTMAS bag I got at the store the other day...Shopping to the tune of "Silver Bells" just doesn't jive for me yet...which says a lot because I'm a Christmas FREAK!
3.) Always check your hoodie for cockroaches BEFORE you put it on your body...NOT COOL...Thanks for tuning in!!
