Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to everyone!! Well, I'm here in the states for 2 weeks, visiting family for the holidays! It's been quite a different world, but I've enjoyed catching up with friends and family. It's funny the little things you get accustomed to! For example, throwing toilet paper in the toilet was almost impossible to make myself do! ha ha eating new foods, etc. has been a big adjustment! This year has flown by and I can't believe we're already at Christmas! What a crazy year of God's faithfulness and provision, through the good and the bad.

On Christmas eve, we went to church and sang Christmas songs which was so much fun! I got to see lots of friends which was a blessing. Recently, I've been reading this book lately by Francine Rivers about Mary and it's really impacted how I see Christmas. Thinking of the Son of God coming in to the world in such a humble way. Though we usually envision Jesus in a little homily stable, but the "stables" used during Jesus' day were more like caves! Can you imagine being born in a cave...the Savior of the World!!! WHAT!! And the fact that he was born in a town that's reputation was less than perfect...so many fun facts about the Nativity that reminds us that Christ came to bring HOPE and PEACE to a dieing world...what a God!

Well, these next 2 weeks will be packed with family time and a few friends...It's a short trip but I'm praying about the next year and all of the amazing adventures God has in store. Imagine! And I'm dreaming about the future....I'm making a list of dreams I have for the next year...NOT NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS...because they usually have negative connotations ha ha but DREAMS of things that I hope God might do or that I think would be impactful for His Kingdom....

My birthday's the 30th so I'm excited to celebrate that as well!!

Here are some photo's from this year's Christmas! Ethan, my nephew, and his BIG PRESENT...I thought he looks like a model child on the box!!!
