It is one of my passions to empower women with job skills. The ladies in our groups all have economic difficulties that are at sometimes pretty bad. This month is an exciting time for many of the ladies.
Starting Monday, two of these women will start a course on how to cut hair, hoping they will one day open their own salon together (they are neighbors.) The course is every Monday and as they learn, we are going to watch their kiddos. I'm excited and so are they.
Also, at the end of the month, we have a bread workshop. Three of the ladies will be trained how to bake different types of bread and have the resources provided for them to get started.
Lastly, next Sunday we have a garage sale of used clothes that have been donated to sale to raise money for the Christmas party in December. Lots of great things coming up! Pray for these ladies and that they can learn skills that will help them help themselves! and others... :)
