bday love

This is one of the ladies whom I disciple, Kristal, and her son, Eitan. Today was Kristal's birthday so I bought (wish I could bake that beautifully) a cake for her, and we celebrated. It was a huge blessing considering her mom forgot her birthday!! :( She's a great mom, but we all have our flaws...I'm bad with birthdays too. We enjoyed the cake while Eitan played.

Right now, Kristal and I are studying John together every Monday night and sharing life's triumphs and downfalls. She is an inspiration of how much effort one can put behind themselves, with God's help. Though she's made her mistakes in the past, she's only 18 but you'd never know it. She's a mother, an employee, a student, serving in a ministry, a daughter and a friend. Sometimes it gets hard, juggling all of those roles, so that when it's helpful to have a friend...

I'm grateful for her life and friendship. She's doing a good job. Life's tough, but not impossible, with Christ.

Please pray for me when you get a chance this week. God's putting us through the "redeemer's fire" as some call it. Steps of faith. Discouragement. A few obstacles here and there...Pray especially for the ladies in our Bible Study and for my own steps of faith I must make in my life. God is good!...all the time!! Lord, help us have eyes of faith to leave everything else behind and leap forward!
