God challenged me in a new way yesterday...
The past 2 days we've heard a mouse (I like to call it that so that I invision it as very small) in our trash. We hear it in the night and quite frankly, it's the grossest thing ever. Yesterday, I got "mouse" poison and put it out on the floor of the kitchen in a little plastic medicine cup. In the morning, my roomate woke me up to ask me where I had put the venom. THE CUP WAS GONE!!!!! He/She had crawled out of the trash, eaten the venom, and taken the cup too. All I could think of when I saw that we had NO cup was:
WE HAVE A CAT SIZED RAT. WE HAVE A CAT SIZED RAT. WE HAVE A CAT SIZED RAT.
God truly tested the germaphobe in me. We'll put it this way: the whole house smells of bleach and my hands are chapped. We threw out the trash can, which now has a chewed hole through the side. Sick. There are no words. Just sick.
The experience made me think of the verse that says, "this world is not my home."
Thank God!:)
We have something better than "mice" waiting for us in eternity. I'm grateful I won't have to bring the bleach.
