my same age but a little bit different

I've been realizing lately that the ladies with whom I work aren't that much older than I am. A lot are 23-30 but I've always seen them as so much older! Most have "lived more life" than I have, is what I tell them. It's amazing that most of these ladies got pregnant or went and moved in with someone when they were 15. So all of them already have children; one has a 17 year old. It is overwhelming for me to think of because when I was 15, I didn't dream of living with a guy (icky) nor having a baby. I think that God can use whatever past or present we have but it's just a cultural difference I sometimes don't know what to do with! Another, completely different topic: Today, I took my dog to the vet with my fiance. The vet told us that he has parasites so we had to give him shots. I felt stupid. My parents always took care of "my dog" when I was little. I thought dogs are like people: you go to the doctor once a year. My poor dog with an ignorant owner. So, apparently dogs aren't like people!
