Well, last week we finalized our work in the precario neighborhood for this year with a party. Each of the ladies donated a little for the food and we ate like kings. It was delicious and the kids were also invited to enjoy in the fun...
The kids got bags of candy to take home (after the fun! so the sugar rush was at home, not at the party:) )
We asked the ladies what God has taught them this year and their answers varied, but as a whole they said that although this year was hard, God was faithful in all things.
We played games and there were prizes. We hope it was a blessing to the kiddos.
And for the moms! These ladies are competitive...
Since we have Bible Study with the women, it was nice to shower the families with love as well. We enjoyed a great time and await for next year.
We'll see what God has in store for us next year!! I can't wait.
As we're now an integral part of the Calvary Chapel youth group, we accompanied them to a marginal neighborhood to sponsor each child in the neighborhood with a Christmas gift at the church on Dec. 17th. We'll have a party and gifts for this kids, with the hope that they will join in at the church and decide to invite Christ into their lives this year.
My group was the best, of course! :) It's a blessing to be a part of these girls' lives and try to demonstrate Christ to them through the way we live...
