This Saturday we had a great time with the ladies in the La Isla community. We took some great donated clothing to sell to raise money for a marriage ceremony we want to do. There are a few ladies who want to get married and don't have the money to do so. We did this garage sale to raise the money to help them get married.
We had so much help! It was so encouraging to see all of the ladies join together and sell everything.
Michelle helped us out a ton! Her chocolate chip bars were a hit!
We had TONS of shoes donated from a local shoe store and we ended up raising $170 for these ladies' wedding ceremony!
It was such an encouragement to see the body of Christ working together. It reminded me of the verses in 1 Corinthians, that we are all part of a working body that together brings God glory. He used all of our special talents to make this garage sale a success! We're excited to start planning the wedding!!
